Using it
Loading it
Start easy. Scatter food on the surface for the first few goes so the idea lands, then push it deeper as your dog works out what the toy is for. A dog that fails at it twice will stop trying.
Washing
Take it apart, hand wash the pieces in cool water with mild soap, and air dry them fully before reassembling. Fleece holds damp longer than it looks like it does, and food residue is the reason to keep on top of it.
When to retire it
Check the layers for chewed edges. Once a dog has started eating the toy rather than the food in it, the toy is finished.
