A carrier built around the one thing that actually settles an animal in transit: being able to see out.
Most carriers are a dark box with a mesh flap. The animal cannot see where it is going, so it braces, and it cries, and the trip is worse for everyone. Vista puts a wide clear panel where the animal’s head sits.
The shell holds its shape when you set it down, so nothing collapses inward onto the animal when the bag is on a car seat or under an airline seat. Air moves through vents on both sides and along the back panel, not only through the door.
Straps are padded and wide across the shoulder. A carrier with an animal in it is heavier than it looks, and thin webbing is what makes a twenty-minute walk feel like an hour.
Inside there is a clip that fastens to a harness. It does not restrain the animal. It stops a cat from going through the door the moment it opens, which is the failure everyone learns about once.
On the two shapesThe round window reads softer and sits closer to the back. The square panel is larger and gives a wider field of view. Both take the same animal; the choice is how much you want the carrier to look like luggage.

Care
The shell
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry open. Do not machine wash the shell — it is what keeps the bag from folding in on the animal.
The window
Clean with a soft cloth only. Paper towel and abrasive sprays scratch a clear panel quickly, and once it hazes it stays hazed.
The mat
Lift it out and wash it separately. Air dry it flat rather than tumbling it.
First trips
Leave it open on the floor at home for a few days before you travel. An animal that has already chosen to sit in it does not have to be put in it.
From the founder
I took a cat to the vet in a canvas bag with a mesh window the size of a postcard. He screamed the entire way. The second time, with a panel he could actually see through, he sat and watched the road. Same cat, same trip. That is the whole idea.
