The Studio is made for cats up to 15 lbs. The top bed is 13 inches across, which fits most cats curled up. If your cat is over 15 lbs or likes to sprawl out, the Aura Tree gives them more room.
It gives them a better option. Cats scratch to stretch and mark their spot, and sisal is the texture most cats prefer. Put the Studio close to the furniture your cat scratches now, so the new spot is right where the habit is.
Yes. The frame is solid wood and the whole piece weighs 18 lbs, so it stays put when your cat jumps on and off.
About 15 to 20 minutes with basic tools. The instructions are simple, and no special skills are needed.
Lift the cushion out and put it in the washing machine. A lint roller takes care of fur on the rest. The sisal doesn’t need cleaning — it’s meant to be scratched.
Yes. Sisal is meant to be scratched, and over time it wears. When the scratch pad, sisal ball or cushion needs replacing, email sales@furrandco.com and we’ll send the part. No need to replace the whole tree.

Choosing a cat tree you can live with

The difference between a cat tree you tolerate and one you choose is almost always the material. Ours are solid hardwood with weighted stone bases, finished the way furniture is finished, and wrapped in natural sisal only where a cat actually scratches.

Start with height

Cats climb to watch. The Helix comes at 51, 67 or 82 inches. The Aura stands at 63.8 inches with two hooded caves and a hammock. In a room with tall windows, go up — a cat will take the highest stable perch available. In a smaller space, a lower tree with a wide base gets used more than a tall tower that feels precarious.

Then weight

A tree only works if it does not move. The Helix carries a 60 to 80 pound base for exactly that reason. A heavy cat, or a cat that launches rather than climbs, needs mass at the bottom more than it needs another platform.

Then finish

Walnut, sandstone and ivory each sit differently against oak floors, pale rugs and dark joinery. Choose the one that agrees with what is already in the room rather than the one that contrasts with it. That is the whole idea here — furniture for a cat that does not announce itself as furniture for a cat.

On sisal, and on wear

Sisal wears. That is the point of it: a cat scratches the post instead of the sofa arm, and the post shows it. Hardware and assembly parts are covered for a year, so a worn component is a repair rather than a reason to replace the whole piece.
