Two matching panels of steam-bent wood meet in the middle and are held by a single steel rod. The shape is what makes it strong: it holds 33 lbs on a footprint smaller than a side table.

The Design Story
Bentwood, not boxed.
Most cat furniture is flat panels screwed together. Sora is one continuous curve: two mirrored wings pressed into shape under heat, meeting without visible joinery and tied by a single machined steel rod.
There is nothing to work loose because there is almost nothing holding it together. The strength is in the shape.

Most do. Cats look for a resting spot at about seat height, where they can watch the room without being underfoot. At 16.1″ Sora sits level with your sofa. Put it near a window or next to where you sit, and give it a week.
Up to 33 lbs, which covers one cat or two settled together. The load is carried by the bentwood curve itself rather than by screws, which is how a piece this light holds that much weight.
Very little. The two wings slot together and a single steel rod locks them in place. Most people have it standing in under five minutes. The rod may want a light tighten after the first week as everything settles.
Go by the room, not the cat. Charcoal sits well against darker floors, walnut furniture and moodier walls. Natural suits pale oak floors, cream sofas and rooms with a lot of daylight. The seat, the height and the build are identical.
The cover lifts off and is hand washable. Wipe the frame with a soft dry cloth and keep standing water off the finish.
It is rated for cats, not people. Treat it as a perch, not a stool.
